Description
When I found this location with Water Voles, I knew I could capture something beautiful. It has all the fairy tale elements that conjure up scenes from the children’s story book, The Wind in the Willows. ‘Ratty’ as he was known, stemmed from the loose resemblance to a true water rat. In actual fact, this little endearing vegetarian looks more like a pet hamster with its rounded face and small furry ears. My aim here was to catch him near the entrance of his wonderful looking home. In order to get a good reflection I knew I could only work on calm days with little to no breeze. Once I had my concept worked out, it was really a matter of waiting for the various elements to fall into place.
